How to Load a Paintball Gun

Paintball is an exciting game, but it may seem intimidating if you have never played it. The objective of the game is to eliminate your opponents with the expert aim of your paintball gun. Fortunately, after learning just a few new skills, you can play the game like a pro. The first skill you need to learn is loading paintball guns.

  1. First: Safety first

Before even thinking about loading your paintball gun, make sure you buy and wear proper eye protection. Because the guns use pressurized gas, you need to protect your eyes from high-velocity balls of paint. The paint itself (even at low velocity) is also something you do not want in your eyes.

  2. Second: Install the cartridge

Now that you have your eye protection on, it is time to install the cartridge into the gun. First, fit the carbon dioxide stock class on the gun's stock housing. Then, screw the cartridge into the stock housing, which pierces the cartridge and pressurizes your paintball gun, readying it for play.

  3. Third: Ready, aim, fire

Now that your paintball gun is ready for play, you are ready to perfect your aiming skills. Place your gun on the feed and hold it in your gun hand (the one that is most comfortable for you to aim and shoot). With your other hand, grab the paintball pump and pull it as far back as you can. Then push forward to cock the hammer and chamber the paintball. Keep in mind that the less commonly-used carbon dioxide tanks require a totally different process.

  4. Fourth: Enjoy yourself

Now that you have acquired the necessary skills to load your gun for playing paintball, a world of fun awaits you! Just make sure that you always use the proper safety precautions.
