Can You Play Paintball If You Cannot Own a Gun?
If you cannot own a gun legally, you are still allowed to play paintball. In most states, you cannot take markers or guns across state lines because there are specific trafficking laws that apply. If you are playing on private property, you must have permission of the property owner before you play. In every state, if you use a paintball gun to cause damage to property to commit some other crime, you can face charges of assault, vandalism or disturbing the peace. Some of these charges require fines while others require jail time.
Some states give each town or county its own leeway in creating paintball laws. To date, no township has prevented anyone from playing paintball. However, if someone is under the age of 18, it is possible he or she can get charged with possession of a firearm in a number of states, such as Pennsylvania, Delaware and Ohio, if he or she takes the gun off the field.
Remember to observe local laws when you play paintball. Check with property owners before you play on their land. Remember to observe local age limits. Paintball is certainly a fun sport, but it is most important to play responsibly.

Play Paintball In Your Area!

Paintball is definitely fun, and I am glad that you can play paintball, even without being able to own a gun. While I understand restrictions on gun laws, it would seem too strict to have these same laws apply to paintball. Paintball is a fun sport that everyone should be able to enjoy. - frankhith on 3/23/2012
